Inductor Identified in PCB Board
Can you please help me and tell me what this symbol is that I’m pointing too with a cable tie on a pcb I am attempting to fix. I thought it was a burnt out capacitor but the symbol says otherwise. Thanks

The symbol is quite confusing but from the photo that you have sent and with the marking of L12, this means the component is an inductor. You can test the component with an ohmmeter and it should have low ohm reading. If you get an open reading means the inductor is already open circuit. If you need to check the inductance value then you have to use an inductance meter or a RLC meter to check it.
