Blue tooth speaker with intermittent volume buttons problem repaired
A super market owner that I know very well asked me to take a look at his blue tooth speakers. He explained the issue with it and said that the volume buttons up and down sometimes they work and sometimes they do not. He also wanted to do some maintenance on it as well.
It powers up fine and it has some nice sound to it but controlling that sound was the issue.
The first thing to do is get that black grid off to access the screws.
Once that grid was off the device, I could see another problem that needed my attention.
The buttons on both side of the device are the faulty ones and in order to get to these buttons, I have to take screws off.
Once these screws were off, more screws on the inside of the device. The goal here was to get to the speaker first then work on the volume buttons.
Once the pink cover was off, I was able to see the inside and the device. I headed directly to the right speaker and worked on it.
It was a simple process and all I have to do was to adjust the rubber seal around the speaker to make it sit right.
Once that was done, I headed to the main issue of this device.
Another two screws were off and I tested the volume buttons and to my surprise, the buttons were actually good.
Since these buttons were in good working conditions, I traced the red and black wire to see if that wire was loose or has bad soldering joints.
As you can see in the photo, the ground wire was completely unattached to the board. Once I soldered that wire to the board and tested it out, everything seems to be working just fine.
I lubricated all the buttons with Deoxidizing cleaner, I put everything back together and as always, Mission accomplished.

Nice job! Do you have some info on the Deoxidizing cleaner you used? It probably is equivalent to, or is, Contact 60 ? (C60). Thanks!
Albert: thanks. I have the Deoxit D100L. I also use a spray Jeltonet C1, this is also expensive but less expensive than the D100L. both an excellent cleaners and I use them wisely because of their cost in the market
