I have repaired a machine like this before but it was a power issue. Today I am repairing the same brand machine ( Model: Towa Ax-100) but with different issue. This machine has problems with keys not functioning the way it should and it has an EP2 problem

What is an EP 2 error code? According to the manufacture, this error has to do with no paper in the machine.

For example, if I add paper to the machine, this error will be resolved.

Before I add a role of paper to this cash machine, I need to resolve the issue of not functioning key on the key pad.

Every time I press any key on this machine, it gives me error and a loud noise that there is something wrong with it.

As you can see, the paper role was missing that is why is showed the error cod EP2. In order for me to get inside the machine, I have to take these two screws. Once took these off, I exposed the inside of the cash machine.

This scene looks very familiar since I worked on such machine before, but instead of going to the logic board this time, I hocked the key pads on this machine to see why, the key are not working

As I took the screws off, and took the metal plate off, I could see what was causing the issue of keys not working.

As you can see, it was dirty and cleaning urgently needed.

Now, if I clean the pads and still no functioning of the keys, then I am in big trouble and wasted my time in vain.

These are the plastic keys from the other side. As you can see, it is dirty and needed to be cleaned as well. I started to clean every single key on that pad. All the plastic keys were cleaned and then I put everything back together.

The machine started working again but my apology, the customer walked in and I could not take any photos of the machine working. You need to trust me on this one, it was working fine and we programmed the receipt on it and it looked very professional.
