HACEB Electric Cooker Repaired
This Electric Cooker Brand HACEB was brought to with the complaint the only coil which was working was only the external one.
As you can see in one of the above photos, it has a selector with four positions:
- The point means OFF.
- ALTO means HIGH (both coils work at full).
- MEDIO means MEDIUM (the external coil will not work, only the ones of the center).
- BAJO means LOW (alL the coils will work, but with low temperature, none of the coils will turn red-colored).
The first thing done was to check the coils with the Digital Multimeter to find the culprit. Only three screws had to be loosened to disconnect the cables.
As you can see in the photos above there were two lectures:
- The green arrows show the lecture of the external coil, it was OK (378Ω).
- The red arrows show the lecture of the internal coils, open-circuit, therefore, here was the culprit of the malfunction.
This kind of element is impossible to repair, so it must be only substituted, so I could get two new ones in the market with the following features: 110v/1200 w
It was time to assemble the Electric Cooker, and check it on.
As you can see in the photos above, it was tested on with its three working positions and everything was fine. The photos of the LOW position are not exposed in this article because the coils never turn red-colored. Mission accomplished.
