How To Repair A Glue Gun
As I was working with my own glue heat gun in the shop, the trigger that pushes the solid glue stick inside the gun broke. I had to push it by hand to finish the job. After the repair job was done, I had to open it and see what happened inside.
It is a very old one and I was ready to buy a new one but why do that if it can be fixed.
The black trigger was loose and it could not push the glue stick through.
As I took the screws off the body of the heat gun I was able to see inside. The problem was seen right away and a solution to the problem already in mind.
The piece on this was broken and was shattered to pieces. I cleaned up the hole and came up with an idea to restore this old heat gun back to its former glory.
This is the other side of the broken part found in the heat gun. I cleaned the hole and look what I did.
It was actually very easy and simply solution to the problem.
I have used a screw, a nut and two washers to hold it from both side and I put them together. The key here is to keep the screw and nut a little bit loose to give it some flexibility to keep the trigger moving back and forth. The result was amazing.
It took me only a few minutes to fix it. It did not cost me anything and it actually saved me some money off buying a new one. Although it was an old one but it was a very good quality one and it was worth saving. Mission accomplished.

You probably also kept the screw electrical insulated from the outside to prevent getting electrocuted in case the heatercoil wires touch the screw.
Good job, Waleed. Saving money is a good thing.
Not just electronics. One real professional actually have to deal too with mechanics, optics, chemistry, economy, public relations and so on…

Clever. Unfortunately, I also have problem-free glue pistols, the heating element is bad in them and I can not buy them anywhere in Hungary. But I have not even seen any Chinese offer anywhere.
very usefull
Thanks
