How To Repair No Power Problem In CFL Lamp
This is my own CFL Lamp. The complaint was no power and since I know how to troubleshoot and repair electronics equipment there is no reason why I should not open it up and find out the cause of the problem.
Once the top part was removed I could clearly see that the main filter capacitor was bulged-see the photo below:
I had another working set and took the good capacitor and put it on the bad board and the problem still the same. The capacitor value is 3.3 Uf with 400 working voltage.
So I checked the components in the small circuit board and all seems to be working fine. There was only one component that I did not really pay attention at and it was the coil (It looked like a small transformer).
I took both the coils out from the circuit board to compare the Ohms value and found that the good coil (Red Coil) had a value of 7.6 Ohm while for the Blue Coil (bad coil) the value was 2.2 Ohm-see the photos below:
In this case I confirmed that there were only two bad components (Coil and main filter capacitor) that had caused the no power symptom.
Both components were replaced and look at the light this CFL Lamp produced:

Good job! Suranga
Interesting repair Suranga! Maybe you can also confirm the bad coil being shorted internally by using the Blue Ring tester?
Good morning Mr Suranga. Good job. I appreciate this. Meanwile how to disemble the bulb thanks a lot.
Good job, Suranga. With coils I always see what my Blue Ring Tester says before I check the Ohms. But I check the ohms out of curiosity.
Vow! I too like servicing CFL lamp power supplies! Good info shared!
thanx sir suranga
thanx to u too sir albert
