Loading problem in a Blu-Ray Home Theater player repaired. Model: LG BH7520T
An owner of a DVD rental place nearby brought me a Blu-Ray player for repair. The main problem was loading the disk. He went further to explain to me that he took the device apart and he was not a technician. Well, I get that a lot. Let us see what the problem is.
I tried to load the disk inside the device and I all I was hearing was the sound of the motor running and I could hear also a sound of loose parts in there.
I am not the best when it comes to mechanical issues but I gave it a try.
As I took the cover off and saw the missing screws on the top of the loading housing, I decided to take off the rest of the screws off and see what I have inside.
Here you can see the missing screws but that was not the problem. The problem was the customer who took the middle screws off and that is a big mistake.
The middle screws are for holding the mechanical parts inside. The best way to take the top cover off without messing the mechanical parts is just to take the corner screws off and leave the rest intact.
If you follow the direction of the arrows, you will see the loose mechanical parts inside the player and that explains why, the disk was not being pulled in the housing.
In this photo, you can see the screws from lower side of the metal part that is holding the mechanical parts.
It took me a while to get the mechanical parts back where they should be. Once I did that and put everything back, I powered up the device and inserted a disk in and here is the result.
Mission accomplished.

Well done! All these are very little things for a genius professional like you!
Parasuraman: thanks. I appreciate the nice comments
Good job Walleed! I guess that the customer still saved those screws so you could re-insert them again afterwards. Because not finding those exact matching short ones could become a real problem.
Albert: thanks man. the screws were inside the device. they were so tiny and hard to find replacement for them.
I m also sometimes fixing Dvd player now i have a problem that i can’t solve the problem is when i put the cd it start to play but after few minute about 40 minute u will see it is stop playing what can be the problem? guys i need your help. Dvd brand is telefunken
Hardy: does it always stop after it plays for 40 minutes? when you say stop, it shuts down or the CD stop playing? did you clean the mechanism on the CD pick up lens? there are two metal rod that act like a slide for the pick up lens, make sure they are clean and creased. clean the pick up lens. after all that it did not help, you might have a problem with the pick up lens itself.
