No Signal In Konka LED TV Repaired
I received this Konka LED TV with the complaint of no signal symptom. The antenna jack was loosen once it was gently pushed by a screw driver (see the photo below) and this had caused the problem.
The other functions of the TV were working fine.
As usual, the first thing to do is to open up the TV cover and access to the antenna jack. Normally what you see in the TV was a separate circuit boards of power supply and the mainboard but in this LED TV Model, the power supply and the mainboard were built together (joint). I do not like this kind of design because if the mainboard is at fault, you have to replace the whole board instead just the main board only. If you replace the whole board, the cost would be very high-see the photo below:
As expected once the back side of the mainboard was exposed, I could see multiple of dry joints at the antenna jack-see the photo below:
After resoldering the antenna jack, I inserted the TV RF cable and make sure it no longer move.
Then I powered On the TV and you can clearly see the good picture in the second photo below:

Good job. The mechanical strength of those on board socket connectors could be improved upon. The heavy cables often pry the socket out of the board’s solder.
A good repair!
We have repaired several antenna jacks by reinforcing those solder points with small pieces of tinned bus wire #14 or #16. Makes for a much stronger mount on the circuit board.
good its just normal repairing.
welldone, thats a good job keep it up,
