One Bad S9013 Transistor Caused No Charging In…..
A Taxi driver pulled over by my shop and gave me this device. As he explained the problem that it was completely dead. I plugged the main transformer and hooked the plug to the input source of the machine but it was useless.
It is very obvious that this machine was sent to a different technician because I could see the name of the customer on it and also the date.
This is an old machine but it seems like no one was able to fix or too busy to work on such old cheap machine.
The holes were the screws are, once they were taken out, I could see more of this machine
One more screw to come out. The power board lies beneath this old machine.
This is another reason why I think that someone was working on this machine.
You can see the soldering job in attempt of repairing this device.
When I tested the voltages going to the negative and positive terminals, there was no reading whatsoever indicating a problem in the line heading to the battery terminals.
If you look at the photo where the arrow is pointing, that is a S9013 NPN transistor that was found faulty and it has to be replaced.
Once this transistor S9013 was replaced, and the power transformer was plugged to the machine, I could see the machine charging with a flashing green light-see the photo below:
Mission Accomplished.

Well done! Very straightforward professional solution!
Parasuraman: thanks. it was an easy fix..I do not know why others technicians were not able to get it fixed..I find that strange
The previous engineer must have been unqualified to say the least! It is evident that the device was fixed in your good care!
Albert: thanks man. it was a very easy fix…it was kind of strange to see a cheap machine like this travel all over the city to be repaired yet nobody was able to do it. either the technician is not qualified (as you stated) to fix it or he was too busy to mess with a cheap one like this.
Good job, Waleed. I agree with Albert also.
Robert: thanks man. I appreciate it.
Thanks Walleed keep posting such educative article.
