SAMSUNG NP – 350V5C LAPTOP for not booting problem
Customer visited my workshop with the above laptop-stating the booting problem.
I have turned ON the laptop for the inspection and I found error on the screen.
Error I found is A Disk Read Error.
So i get into the BIOS to check the HDD detecting or not, here I found it detects the HDD then I checked boot sequence under BOOT Manu that is also proper first boot device is HDD and second is DVD.
So for further diagnosis I have removed the HDD from the laptop for the testing. I have connected that HDD to my external HDD casing and on attaching to My PC, I found that there is no Vibration of spinning the motor or any noise inside the HDD that means HDD Itself BAD.
After discussing the problem with the customer and by his approval I have ordered the New HDD.
Attached new HDD to laptop and Turned on the Laptop and I got this message on the screen that means Now laptop has detected the HDD and it is ready for the preparation of the software.
As customer is using some proprietary software in this laptop he took the laptop from me and replied me next day about the condition that this laptop is now working smoothly after installing the software.

nice info
Its greate work
I realy appreciate for your work Mr Yogesh Panchal
Thank you.
Well done
Good thing you were able to help him by restoring his laptop with a new harddisk Yogesh. I understand that although the customer’s harddisk was completely destroyed he still had his precious software on original media or backupped at home. I noticed that on eBay or Aliexpress those older 2.5 inch harddisk formats are becoming scarce especially the IDE or P-ATA types. Not only everything is almost S-ATA only but also replaced now by SSD type harddisks.
Nice Job Yogesh.
